Seeking recommendation for immigration lawyer

Post by delibakery » Fri Nov 14, 2014 4:55 am

Hi. I live in Canada and I'm seeking recommendations for a good immigration lawyer to assist me with a visa application to emigrate to the UK. If it matters, I'm looking to apply on a somewhat unique visa (VAF4A appendix 5) for parents exercising access rights to their children who are British nationals. My sons live in the UK with my ex-wife and I want to move there to regain joint custody.

I've contacted several lawyers, both in North America and the UK, and have received quotes ranging from $1000-4000 Canadian (500 - 2000 pounds ish). How do I choose? Can anyone recommend someone? Again, if it makes any difference, I hope to move to the Bristol area.

Thanks!
