How to submit form FLR(M)

Post by Davk » Thu Nov 13, 2014 1:55 pm

Hi
I refer to the second part of my question [stated below] raised on 10.11.14 and hope someone can help please. Hopefully, many people have presented forms to the UK Immigration and can let me know how they submitted them. This is the first time I am making an application for extension and do not want to have it rejected for something minor like presentation.

- As the FLR(M) form is 71 pages long [11/14 version] and impossible to staple together How should it be presented ? ie Tag the papers or punch them and put in a file or get them bound ?
- Also should all the attached documents be tagged or put on separate plastic wallets etc.

I look forward to your experience and Thanks in advance.

have it rejected for something minor like presentation.
That is not possible, they are not processing your application based on your organisation skills.

Get one of those really big paperclips to keep the form together. If you are applying in person, they will ask you for what they want. If applying by post, put the important supporting docs first (English, passport, photos) and the rest after that.

Thank you very much CR001.

What you say makes sense of course but you never know with certain organisations so I just did not want to take an unnecessary risk.

Thanks again.

Just make sure your documents are in an order which is sensible, neat and in line with what is requested to submit. You cannot do anything more than that.

You won't be refused if they are not neat, tidy and labelled, but it might take longer if they have to look through or for things, so be familiar with the order you put them in if applying in person.

Contrary what some people think, HO are not unreasonable and are, at the end of the day, humans too.

When I submitted my FLR(M) application 6 months ago I used one of those big paper clips to hold the application form together. I also used a hard cover lever file to put everything together and separated them into different sections according to what the rule required. But when my supportin documents were returned the hardcover file was not returned, probably cos it was too heavy.

Thank you CR001 and Julian 1972.

Your feedback has been very useful and reassuring. Will be sending my application tomorrow by special delivery. Hopefully every thing will be fine as there is nothing to hide and I think the paperwork is in order.

Thanks again.
