Thanks a lot for your reply.CR001 wrote:Any legal visa status counts towards residence requirement for Naturalisation.
Make sure you were both physically present in the UK exactly 5 years before, to the day, that HO receives your applications.
For naturalisation or foreign passport renewal??as I understand it takes atleast 6 weeks for processing.
Thanks for the quick response.CR001 wrote:Should be fine yes. Are you applying soon?

I am applying myself.CR001 wrote:Yes, the average is about 3 months for approval.
Are you applying using NCS or doing postal yourself?
Don't forget LIUK and English B1 test (unless you both have UK degrees)
I would strongly recommend using NCS as you then get to keep all your original documents and they make sure your form and docs are correct. If you used your drivers license for LIUK and is the reason you are submitting it, then even more reason I would use NCS rather than send all my identity documents by post.Passport - covering the full 5 years and date you entered
UK Driving License - I wouldn't sent this
LIUK test certificate
UK Msc degree certificate
ILR Biometric Card
ILR approval home office letter - not really needed if supplying BRP, they have your full history
Marriage certificate - Not needed unless applying as spouse of British Citizen
Both or at least one of them British??I have got 2 referees one of which is a teacher and other is s/w engineer.

There is no benefit of joint application fees any more but if you want to submit the marriage certificate, whose application are you submitting it with. Remember each person applying (even if applying together) has to meet the requirements individually.

Will do. thanks a lot.CR001 wrote:Good luck with your application and keep us updated on progress. Make sure you at least have a copy of your drivers license until you receive the original back.
