The people who've applied after April are getting very quick turnover times.

So keep praying and pestering them, and you should know something in 1-3 months max in sha Allaah.

Just remember - as we've all covered here before - the responses you get from UKVI are usually generic unless it's about escalation/documentation or specific as such.

My hubby got an email from BHC Islamabad on Friday 7th November that your uk visa application has been processed and will now be returned to the visa application centre. It has been almost 2 weeks but VAC MIRPUR didn't call. Yesterday my hubby emiled Ukvi. They replied back that the application has been processed and a decision has been made..Please note that your passport and documentation could still take some time to reach you whilst being sent back from decision making centre whilst other administrative formalities are completed. The visa application centre will be in contact with you regarding the collection or delivery.

please can anyone tell me that can my hubby can go to visa application centre without appointment or a call. We applied 3rd march 14..

Visit VAC as soon as possible, don't wait for Call as it is more than 2 weeks. All the best.

These Eco's are really beginning to annoy me! I really thought they would have got to June by now I don't understand why they r picking a few from march then going to Feb then beginning of may then end.. Really p*** taking.. Sorry people just needed a rant.. Currently waiting on email after escalation on Monday..And kind of sick of family relatives asking same questions "when is your husband getting his visa" oh hold up I'll just ask the Eco now !

How can you be so sure about your wife's traveling date?
I'm still hoping to travel with my spouse in the first week of January, bought tickets and everything. Didn't know about the backlog at the time of applying.

Pretty straight forward. Asked her who you are travelling with (she was travelling back with me) and my name. Did not check any documentation.

Documents submitted 7th July 2014 Gerrys Isb.

Got an email reply that 'initial pre assessment and online verification has been conducted. Application is in Entry Clearance Officer’s queue for further assessment and checks/enquiries'.

Looking at the current there here - it seems not even May-June applicants are being processed yet:-(
Are there any June/July applicants who hav had a reply.

InshaAllah a positive decision soooon.

Salam everyone
i m new to this forum as someone suggested me to visit this forum and this is my first post regarding a query i hope any of u guys ll be able to guide me on this email i received today.
as its been over 24 weeks since i applied for my hubby and i emailed them on this email address (complaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk)
and they replied me bk today saying

Thank you for your email regarding your husband’s application.

Our service standards do say 24 weeks is the maximum processing time however, there is a caveat that some applications may take longer if further checks are required.

Your husband’s application has been deferred pending further enquiries. We will contact him as soon as these are concluded.

does anyone know wht they tryna say in this email . any idea how long it can take further .

Many thanks

W.A.Salaam izainab5,

As they said there is a caveat that some applications may take longer and your application is one of those. I'll suggest to get your MP involved and see if he can get any sensible response from them.

Thanks,

I am new here and was hoping you could help me understand what UKVi meant by the following reply to my status request;

"....found that your application is currently in progress. Your visa application centre or the entry clearance officer will contact you
once a decision has been made..." 11 Nov 2014.

Type of Visa - Spouse
Applied Online - 1 Sept 2014
Biometric/docs submitted at Lahore branch - 8 Sept 2014

Is there any other routes to get a more precise update? Do UKVi provide a service for automatic status updates? "Application currently in progress" - what stages are there in Visa application decision process?

Thank you in advance :)

Hi,

It not an automated response, but UKVI usually gives generic response. If you want to know the details of process, please read through the document at the following link.

http://icinspector.independent.gov.uk/w ... AL-PDF.pdf

Hope this helps.
