Husband Settlement or Family Vist

Hello,

My sister who is 8 months pregnant would like to sponser her husband but she is not working at the moment so she may not be able to apply for settlement visa. Is it possible to apply for 2 years Family visit visa instead if she has savings of 5000 pounds?

It is highly unlikely that a visit visa would be granted to a man with a wife and child in the UK.

What would his reasons be for returning home after six months?

We are not sure what sort of visa to apply for? Can you still apply for settlement visa if you can't pass the financial test

is she not getting any kind of maternity pay? or benefit or allowance? she has to show 6 months payslips and bank statements , so i imagine she would have at least some months of those and she can explain the discrepancy for the last few months, in the application for spouse visa. also she can put down the jobs that her husband can get here etc
