Marriage/spouse visa for my wife.

Me and my wife recently been married in UK. I hold EU passport and my wife is from Taiwan holding TIER 5 Visa which expieres in 8-9 months. We been together for 5 years and in UK for almost 3. I am working and living here for 10 years never claimed any benefits nor I have any criminal record. She works in UK for almost a year now. We both earn more then 20k+

We have plans for our future but confused and worried about her VISA, what steps should I take for Spouse Visa? I spoked recently with solicitor in East London but he didnt sound professional nor he look like one. He told me I can apply any time as longest I am married in UK and I hold the certifiate of marriage.

I know the application will cost around 800£ reason why I don't want to make any mistakes. Should I wait or apply asap and what documents should we provide?

What us your nationality. Do you hold British Citizenship aswell.

I am eligible for BC but I haven't done it. I've been working here for 10 years now. I only have blue residents card. I hold Polish passport.

Why did you not find the solicitors advice convincing? He seemed correct.

Obie have I missed something? Shouldn't the application be made under EEA regulations as the OP holds Polish nationality and is exercising his treaty rights?

I accept that Casa. That seem to be the advice that he was given. But OP formed the view that he did not look or sound professional , therefore his views could not be correct

The biggest mistake may be applying under the UK immigration rules and not under the EEA Regulations.
