A few queries-Please help!

Post by metallic202 » Sat Nov 29, 2014 2:35 pm

Hi guys I am currently on an Employer Sponsored Tier 2 visa and I am getting married to a British National next weekend. We have been in a relationship for a year and we have everything under the sun to prove the genuineness of the relationship. However, I have some other issues that are bothering me:

1) My salary is £22570/annum before taxes and I have been employed by my current sponsor since June but for the months of June and July I received cash payment and hence I don't have a definite way of proving how the salary reflects in my bank account. Is there any way around this? We want to apply in the first week of January as my future wife has to leave for Uganada for her PhD research in African studies. We want to apply in January as she has to be there for atleast 6 months so we cannot wait for that long.

2) She receives a grant of £16000 per annum for her PhD. Can we include that in our financial requirement section? (it is not taxed though). The amount is reflected in her bank statements though and the University can provide a letter confirming that.

3)We want to apply at a premium center (we live in London) and we were wondering if it is actually a one day service or does it take long too?

I have found this forum really helpful and I am hoping some of you guys can help me with these queries.

P.S: I have already spoken to a lawyer and for no 1) he said that I should get a letter from my employer confirming that I was payed in cash for the months of June and July 2014.

How long have you been on Tier 2? Will you be eligible for ILR under Tier 2?

I switched from my PSW in June this year to the Tier 2, So approximately 6 months. I am pretty sure I am not eligible for ILR right now. Hence I am focussing on the spouse visa first.

Have you got an account that reflect the payments for the first 2 months?

Unfortunately I don't have any other account that reflects the payments for the first two months. I used that cash for different things like rent, etc. It would be nearly impossible for me to prove how I spent that money.
