Hi all,
I just got back my passport with residence card inside today. Thank you for all the usefull information provided here, and those who gave me advice.
Wish you all good luck.
juliazl wrote:Application date :15/09/2014
Confirmation letter: 17/09/2014 (date on the letter, forgot when I received it)
CoA :25/09/2014 (no right to work).
Call Home Office today:03001232253,they are processing my application.

I asked about if I can stay here if my expires (as an unmarried partner), they confirmed yes. I asked two guys, or one guy twice. The answers are the same. If there is anyone who applied EEA2 as an ummaried partner of an EU before, could you pls double confirm if I can still stay here if my visa expires at the end of the year?

By the way, if any one knows that if I have to report to local police station when my visa expires? Thanks.

You can directly call the home office to confirm with them. They are very nice and I think they will let you know if you need to send the passport back.

to get your documents you have to fill an online form as you can not ask for your documents back over the phone. you can obtain the online form by clicking on this link (https://www.gov.uk/visa-documents-returned).

you can try over the phone if you want to 03001232253

Hi, I have decided to join these Forum/Board to share my experience, since it has really been very helpful for me all the comments, suggestions and tips regarding the EEA2.

Me: Venezuelan (Venezuela)
Wife: Polish (Poland)

Application Sent: 3rd of October 2014
Acknowledgement Received: 6th of October 2014
Certificate of Application (Right To Work) Received: 14th of October 2014
Residence Card: Awaiting an Answer from Home Office (55 Days since Acknowledgement Received)

I am doing all the process with a Solicitor, who has already help me in the past getting my EEA Family Permit before I entered to the UK to join my wife.

I will keep you updated with the outcome, but wanted to share the Timeline between each process and the total process.

Best Regards;

Hi all, I have applied for an EEA2 Residence Card and need to request my documents back for an emergency trip back to the US. However, I am worried about re-entering the UK with my temporary EEA Family Permit expired and my application pending. I have read some information on if travel outside the UK, my application may be refused, voided or withdrawn. I may also be unable to re-enter the UK.
Does anyone have experience requesting their docs back to travel to the US or outside the EU while their EEA2 was pending ?

Ive received my EEA residence card in less than 3mons

Application submitted: 09.09.14
Acknowledgement Received:12.09.14
Certificate of Application (Right To Work) Received: 18.09.14
Requested passport back: 30.10.14
EEA2 residence card received: 01.12.14 (dated 26.11.14)

Here's the only documents Ive submitted:

marriage certificate
EU Identity card of my husband (polish)
my husband's permanent residency card
my passport
3x payslip of my husband
1 electric bill on both our names

Since Ive requested my passport back, Ive received the EEA family member residence card on a separate sheet of paper.

Good luck to everyone

UMARRIED ROUTE - EEA FP + EEA2

Post by keykey » Wed Dec 03, 2014 11:21 am

Hello everyone!
I've been reading this forum for months now, and it's been really helpful for getting all the information I needed for my EEA Family Permit and my EEA2 Application.
I now a lot of people are asking about CoA for Unmarried Partners so I would like to share my experience. I hope it can help someone like yours helped me.

UNMARRIED PARTNER - French and Nicaraguan

EEA FAMILY PERMIT
Requested in France, in August 2014. We did not have 2 years of cohabitation, only 15 months and 18 of relationship. But my visa in France was sponsored by my partner. I guess that help. Granted in some weeks for 6 Months.

EEA RESIDENT CARD
We do not have a 2 years of cohabitation, we had 18 months when applied for EEA2.
We arrived in UK in September, so we had only 2 months of bills (so I also put our bills from France)
EEA2 Application Submmited : 7 November 2014 (My EEA Family Permit is still valid)
Received by HomeOffice : 10 November
Charged fee : 12 November
Received acknowledge letter : 15 November (Dated 12 Nov)
Received e-mail saying that my application is been considered : 27 November
Received CoA with right to work : 29 November (dated 26 November). It is only a one page letter but it clearly states that I have the right to work or continue working until Resident Card issue (or deny)
Resident Card : Still waiting

So, I believe that the "rule" I read on different topics in this forum whas RIGHT for me. I arrived in UK with a Family Permit and requested EEA2 before expired, via UNMARRIED ROUTE and got CoA with right to work. :D

I will request my passport for this holidays, and hope my RC arrived soon in 2015 !!! :D

Hope this helps, and Good Luck to everyone !
I will try to keep you updated of Passports and RC.
