Hi,
Myself (British Citizen) and my wife (Moroccan) applied for a visa in order for her to travel to Ireland. We were thinking about doing the 3 month Surinder Singh route and that was our initial intention.
We received the visa last month and traveled to Ireland on the 19th Nov and stayed for approximately a week and then traveled to the UK by ferry from Belfast to Liverpool to visit my family.
Upon arriving in Liverpool, we were stopped by the police and she was detained for around half a day and then released with papers saying she was Refused Entry into the UK and has to leave on the 4th December.
I have seen an Immigration Lawyer about this matter and was told the best route is the standard spouse route in which I have to show earnings of 18,600 pound per year. I dont have that evidence currently as I had been working outside of Europe for the past 4 years.
Basically, I want to know if this will have an impact on any future visa application and wether she can come back on a Family Visitor Visa, Student Visa etc if needed.
Thanks
