Child New Passport Application

Dear Members,

I am completing application for my 2 children. Do I need to include any documentation for myself in the application?
( I completed the online one and sumbitted it)

Aren't the requirements specified on the application form?

I completed the online application and the listed requirement on the printout says:
- completed decleration form
-two photographs
-certificate of registration
-any uncancelled non-british paaports.

I am confused because when my friend applied for his child, he also included his passport. However I don't see any requirements. I do not want to include my passport because I need to travel abroad.
Can anyone advise?
