Dates of documents for spouse application?

Post by humawakas2014 » Sat Dec 06, 2014 2:29 pm

Hi,

Just wondering in regards to a spouse applicafion apart from the financial documents that have to be dated within 28 days and the housing immigration report which must be within 3 months is there anything else I should look out for?

For example any documents from Pakistan that must be dated within 28 days?

I have the mufti letter regarding my nikkah in Pakistan but it's dated June im sure this will be fine right? Also in regards to my self employment I have a letter from June stating I am self employed with hmrc will this be suffice enough? In the reauirements it says only if available... I don't have an updated version.

Also for the financial requirements for self employed A says I must show tax paid unpaid evidence for last financial year, how would I show this? Surely sa302 form statement of account payments and self assessment print out will be suffice?

Appreciate any advice

Mufti letter doesn't need to be updated, I'm assuming you were married in Azad Kashmir hence mufti letter. But this letter from the mufti is not needed as long as you provide your original nikah namah (marriage certifcate) and the english translation attested. Letter is another way of getting money from you.

lol just another way of getting money from UK nationals. I'm assuming the letter basically says that union councils have no jurisdiction over registering marriages and the Mufti is responsible for that now. In 2011/12 there was an issue where the UKBA were not recognising nikha khawanis, hence the letter from the mufti to clarify the changes in AJK but that has all been sorted out.

I applied with CAT A so any questions regarding that i will be happy to help. Unfortunately if applying using self-employment route then you should wait for someone who actually has applied using that route
