Divorce after ILR

I have recently got my indefinite leave to remain (ILR) as the spouse of an Irish Citizen. Unfortunately, our relationship broke down and we separated a year before submitting my ILR application.
As the spouse of an EEA national, I was able to get ILR despite being separated.
If we procede with the a divorce at this stage, will that effect my chances of British Citizenship or is maritial status irrelevant once you have ILR?

I'm assuming you have been in the UK for 5 years as the spouse of an EEA national and have now gotten permanent residence? If so, then as far as I know a future divorce will make no difference. You retain the PR even if you get divorced so I would think that you should still be able to apply for citizenship when you are eligible. Marital status shouldn't affect that.
