Hello All
I would like to clarify some things on which i have major doubts on.
I am a professional degree holder from India and I will be turning 27 this october.
I was studying the whole of last year in Europe(not in UK), and therefore i had no source of income from a company for last year.
I am planning to apply for HSMP around April next year after i file my IT return for 2007-08. This is solely because i will be able to show a continuous employment record for 12 months and I will be able to claim max. points in earnings.
Now i have some questions, i started working in my current company in feb of this year, so its been 6 months, I have yet to file my IT return for last year.
In case i would like to apply for HSMP now, can i show my salary slips with the current company for 6 months, in addition can i show the extra income which i earn by doing freelance jobs, as part of points claimed on earnings and declare these freelance earnings in my present IT return.
Also, how will the new rules affect my HSMP application.
I believe i can claim in the present system, 35 points for qualification, 20 for age + 35 in earnings.
Thanks in advance.
Merci. Grazie.Gracias
