Tier 1 Dep application in India for a child born in UK

Hi,

I know that this question has been asked before in this forum. Since, the rules keep changing often, I would like to know if someone has done this recently.

My husband is on Tier 1 and I am his dependant. We both renewed our tier 1 last month. My child was born in UK, but we couldn't apply for his visa as his passport had not arrived then. We have plans to travel to India this month. We are thinking of applying dependant visa for my child from India. Moreover, the visa fees from India seems to be much cheaper compared to applying from here.

I . Is it still possible to apply for my child's visa from India though he was born in UK
2. Any idea on the general timelines for applications from VFS chennai? I need to be back in couple of months to join work. So, just wondering...
3. Will my child be eligible for citizenship soon after we get PR. Would there be any implications if we apply for his visa from India.

Yes your child can apply British registration later once you get ILR without any problem.
