Post by mothercottage » Wed Jan 14, 2015 3:49 am

I am living and working in Grand Cayman on a work visa. I have a child that was born in 2012 to a Caymanian Farther we are not married and are no longer living together. My child has both a British passport and a Cayman passport my child is not currently recognised as a Caymanian. Is my child British and can we both return to the UK to live.

Thank you for your reply's. The nub of the question is if I take my child back to the UK would I be breaking the law of jurisdiction.

Thanks
