MN1 Application Referees Questions

Hi there,
My wife and I have ILR granted earlier this month. We had twins born in 2011. We wish to apply for BC on MN1. While filling up the application form on Section 5, it asks to have it signed by two people- A professional who knows the child in personally. I talked to their teacher (as they go to nursery) but she said, she cannot sign it. Whom else can I approach?
Does some one has a list of these professionals? I am sure there must be many people like me on the same boat.
Any help is highly appreciated.

I think GP should be fine even though it is not on the list.

3) Yes GPs no longer on the list apparently as GMC asked for them to be taken off. Don't know what to advise on this. My understanding is that some people have used GPs since they revised the list with no problems, perhaps call the nationality helpline to ask or get an alternative referee if possible. Unless anyone has any more up to date knowledge on this??
