is a Spouse visa 24 or 27 months under old rules

Post by Forast » Mon Jan 19, 2015 2:39 am

Hi,

I have a current FLRm visa granted in Jan 2013 under the old rules as a spouse of a UK citizen from birth.
Im reading online that my visa should be 27 months whereas my BRP states expiry date 24 months from date granted.
Or are some visas only 24 months?

I heard mistakes happen and it can be changed by overnighting to an issuing office.

Can anyone confirm either way.

Thank You.

i have been told that because a BRP was issued in the UK it is 24 months, if issued outside the UK it is 30 months.

Any one have experience which supports or contradicts this information?

Thanks

Entry Clearance is usually for 27 months but leave to remain is for 24 months.

So it is perfectly fine .
