Spouse visa - rental and bank statement question

I have recently completed most of the financial evidence needed, but I have one problem.

I currently rent a place and was wondering if the bank statement needs to show the exact amount of the rent? I have evidence of money deposited and properly declared. The amount deposited is not the same as what was declared. Would this be a problem or am I able to explain the circumstances on why there's an excess amount per month?
