Fiance visa-proof of relationship

Post by SofiaRand48 » Wed Jan 28, 2015 4:21 pm

Hello, I have a few questions regarding the fiance settlement visa.
My fiance and I are planning to apply for our visa next week. We have decided not to use an agent, but to put it together ourself. I have currently become a bit worried about this, as carefully as we may have read the guidelines we are still a little unsure.

Also, how do we organise the "proof of relationship" package? We are providing information such as photos, cards, and supporting letters from friends. How much evidence do we need? I have decided to put together a word document with photos detailing our relationship, with comments. Is this a good idea??

For my husband's application we sent 20 photos attached 4 to 1 piece of A4 and put the dates and details of who anyone else was.
You could include cards/envelopes but I have heard numerous times that letters from friends won't add much weight to the application.
It would be helpful to include supporting letters from yourselves though. A brief overview of the relationship to date and plans for the future. Also mention anything you want to draw their attention to re the application.
