FLR spouse visa - what happens if I lose my job

Post by chibakun » Thu Jan 29, 2015 12:23 pm

My wife is in the UK on a spouse visa, FLR. We have to renew in June this year for another 2.5 years, so it's the half way point.

I've just started a new job in January, and I will hopefully pass my probation in 3 months. What if I don't? That would be the end of April and the visa needs renewing in June. I have to have continuous work for 6 months prior.

She'd have to resign from her job and go home right as she wouldn't have the right to stay here if I couldn't support her. Assuming I failed the probation that is.

You can combine income earned by yourself and your wife over the last 12 months if it meets the requirement. Gaps in employment is fine using Cat B - 12 month period.
