counter signer question

Post by klairegreen » Thu Jan 29, 2015 2:31 pm

Hi, i've asked my boyfriends step dad (who's married to bf's mum) to sign my passport, and i've got my interview tomorrow, im worried they will ask how i know him and that if i answer hes my boyfriends step dad they wont allow the application to go through. I know its states you cant have someone sign for you through marriage, but as im not married to my boyfriend i wondered if that would be okay? i didn't really think about it until i had sent it off.
Thanks

I think you will be fine. Referee can not be someone closely related to you like a family member, husband or partner. I don't think your boyfriends step dad falls into that category.
I am sometimes wrong.
