Family menbers coming to UK

Post by nugget_needs_help » Sun Feb 01, 2015 6:21 pm

I'm British, my wife is American and her son is 30

I thought this would be easy as I earn enough to keep them both living with me but the family of a settled person visa only applies to children under 18.

Is there an 'easy' way for him to come live with us? He could come on a family visit visa but I'm then worried we wont be able to sort a ILR visa in the 6 months he would have? The Gov visa website is just confusing and I keep going round in circles

Thanks for any advise

Absolutely not possible unless he qualifies in his own right, i.e. student, Work Permit or marries a Brit/EU citizen.
