Refree's address and conviction

Post by m_n » Wed Feb 11, 2015 11:10 pm

Hello,

First of all let me thank all the contributors on the forum for sharing their experience and providing us with useful information.

I will be applying for citizenship soon and have the following questions:

1) Can I use my flat mate as a referee, he lives at the same address as I do (obviously) could this be a problem?

2) Even though I have asked from my referees about not having any criminal conviction, but if it turns out that one of my referee had a criminal conviction (and they forgot about it) would HO refuse my application?

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes
2. What kind of conviction?.
We will not accept a referee who has been convicted of an imprisonable offence during
the last 10 years (unless that conviction can be disregarded in line with the table shown
on page 16 of the Booklet AN)
I am sometimes wrong.
