Clarification of detail on acknowledgment letter

Post by FinnGirl » Fri Feb 27, 2015 10:28 am

Hi everyone,

I received my acknowledgment letter today. I am not sure about the detail on it, so am typing is exactly as it appears:

Our ref: Type of Application- AN6(1)+
Ceremony
Application forms- 1
Supporting Document- 2
No. of Applications- 1
Photo-copied Documents

I used the Nationality Checking Service (NCS) and a big pile of documents was copied and sent off, including their cover sheet of what is included. Therefore, I don't understand what the "Supporting Document- 2" means? I read it to mean that I have only provided 2 supporting documents, when the real numbers is probably closer to 20. I have tried to call them but they just say that they will try and get someone to look into it and call me back. As the whole pack was sent Special Delivery by the NCS in one big pack, I don't think that it is possible for something to have 'fallen out'.

Any advice on this please?

I don't think there is anything to worry about.
I received the same reply. You took 20 odd documents to NCS they probably have copied the ones needed, or Home Office has disregarded the ones not needed.

Since they are all photocopies, and you used NCS meaning you had your originals back, they're probably counting the supporting documents needed for application, discarding others.
Being British is a state of mind.

Photo-copied Documents
Or this is what encompasses all the photocopies and the 'supporting documents' could be the passport and BRP, for example.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Hi
Thanks to you both. Now that I think of it I did submit my degree certificate and LIUK test certificate so that would be the two supporting documents. The photocopied documents would be the pile of other documents photocopied. Thank you for your advice.
