Confusion on length of time between visits

So my husband and I are applying for a spouse visa in about 3 months when I have all the required pay slips and bank statements. He is Israeli and I'm English.

We were planning on him coming to England on the 22nd of this month until June 18th so we can complete all the paperwork together, he can help with finding a flat and just so we can spend some time together. However we are a bit unsure if he has been in the country to much lately and whether it will cause problems when he tries to enter next Sunday.

So last year he was here on these dates.

from the end of December 2013 (can't find the exact date but it was just after we got married) till 17/01/14
Then he was gone for 4 months
In England - 26/05/14 till 31/08/14
Then he was gone for 2 months
In England 17/10/14 till 08/01/15

I went to Israel in February for a week but we are wondering if he has been gone for a decent amount of time to still be allowed in for these 3 months or will they think he has spent to much time here and send him back?
