SARAL Form - Evaluation year missing - Assessment Year exist

Post by Siva » Tue Sep 25, 2007 11:52 am

Hi Friends,

I am going to apply the HSMP very soon, before that I have one doubt regarding the SARAL form which is not having the TAX Evaluated year.
It shows the Assessment Year 2007-2008 at the right corner of the ITR form. But it is not telling about for which year the SARAL is been evaluated. My question is that will HSMP Caseworker understood that SARAL is for 2006 to 2007 and Assessment happened on 2007-2008 since it is not (Evaluated period 2006-2007) available.

Any idea about it? I am not sure that will the SARAL does not have the Evaluation period, and it will have only the Assessment Year only.

Can you help me by sharing your knowledge on this?

Make sure ur bank stmts and salary slips are presented as first two pieces of evidence, tick mark exceptional circumstances i.e. earning period NOT SAME as sal slips.

ITR will work as it is, I guarantee that.
Also make sure sal slips clearly show IT deductions.

Thanks for your point.

In my Salary Slips I have seen deduction of Provident Fund (PF Employee's Contribution only) and Tax Deduction only. Is that ok?

Did you or your friends applied the HSMP with the latest ITR (SARAL Form) and get the approval?

Siva,
I read on this forum that some applications have been rejected since SARAL is not used in this year Income tax returns. We have ITR1 for salaried class and we get acknowledgement in return. I think you need to attach the acknowledgement and all salary slips (attested and stamped by ur employer).

My Acknowlegment form is not signed , but its sealed in Hindi. Is that fine ? Anybody who have applied under same circumstances and got approval ?

Apart from the seal in Hindi, make sure the SARAL form clearly mentioned the Tax information strictly in English language only.
