FROM WP TO HSMP ( SWITCHING)

hi,

im on a Uk deputation since april 07. My wp expires On 31st dec'07.
b4 this happens , im trying to switch to HSMP.

i get a per day allowance in uk , thats payed By my indian company
to a Forex account, of an INDIAN BANK.
for which i hv online statements.

I also have opened a Uk bank a/c . for petty transactions.

Apart from this i have the regular indian salary, in the Indian Bank account credited as usual.

so actually i have 3 sets of earning in da past 12 months

a) the indian salary in the 1st six months b4 i came to uk.
b) the Indian salary in da last 6 months after i came to uk .
c) the Uk earnings ( per diems) in the last 6 months after i came to uK.

( bank statements can b provided, IT is deducted in UK but not relfected
it statements can b provided for earnings in India )

how can i claim , my income for HSMP , and under which BAND.
can i file this appliation from UK itself?


please advice , eagerly waiting to hear frm U guys.

yes u can apply with either India or UK earnings but would suggest get at least 8 mths of salary slip of either india or UK.

Then pro rata it to 12 months. Read guidance notes.

You can consider only one country earnings at a time in ur app, either UK or India NOT both.

Which one to use then ?

First see whether you have 8 months of at least 2 evidences to show ur earnings enough for HSMP points for India and/or UK.

If u qualify in both, see which earnings can be shown easily like prefer UK earnings over india ones, so that if HO wants to verify it will be easy and will take less time.(if at all they verify)

Is there any documentary evidence to prove that you get the Perdiems in UK. I mean apart from your bank statement, can you provide payslips showing something like salary / allowance etc ?

I guess this is very much required as you will have to produce 2 part evidence. Also I guess you will have to get a letter from your employer stating that you have been receiving GBP XXX from the claimed period.

I know a friend of mine in similar siutation, I had adivced him to go back spend atleast 7 months in India, so that he can get the required amount and then apply from India.

In his case, he was not given any payslip from his employer in UK as his Indian salary reflected it (2 pay slips in India which is not the right thing to do). Neither could he ask for a letter from his employer.

If you are in the same situation I will be giving the same advice.
