No longer required to register with police?

Post by sprof » Thu Mar 19, 2015 11:11 pm

I've got my second Tier 1 (general) extension last week. I'm Ukranian national, and was required to register with police from the very start. Did so, kept PRC updated.
Received new BRP several day ago - and BRP does not state "register with police"?
I'm reading https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... 0.0EXT.pdf, and can't understand why this requirement was removed from me.
Also, if I'm no more required to register, the document above states that PRC should be endorsed accordingly - but I can't find any new stamps/notes on my PRC. Accompanying letter doesn't state anything specifically either.

Anyone been in same situation?

Hi, my spouse is also ukrainian and hence we had to go to the nearest police station to get the passport and registration cert signed each time we had an address change and after my last tier 1 ext, so this seems really unusual that they have not endorsed this on your BRP. I suggest you call them or write them and clarify, sometimes the case worker does not realize that as not every country is on the list of countries whoes nationals need to register with police.. this requirement as i understand is waived only after ILR.. good luck!

you should register anyway, this was probably caseworker mistake when BRP was ordered
**Please note, you can no longer contact me by PM because owners of this board accused me of using it to recruit clients, and disabled my ability to read and send PMs.**
