Spouse visa and tenancy agreement ... help required

Post by ps4 » Tue Mar 24, 2015 8:11 pm

I am wondering if some kind members of this forum could shed some light on my situation.

I am soon applying visa for my wife so she could join me here in the UK. Not knowing much about the process at the moment but someone mentioned that with all other requirements I also need to provide my tenancy agreement to prove I have a place sufficient enough to accommodate a couple.

I have the tenancy agreement for the studio flat however as it only has my name on it and it says people permitted to reside should only be me, would a letter from agency/ landlord to give permission for a couple to live be suffice OR should I look for a new place and get a new contract?

PS: They won't re-write the contract etc.

Thank you for your help in advance...
