ecuadorian wants to work in the eu

Post by mmboyes » Fri Sep 28, 2007 9:05 pm

my BRIEFLY story. I'm Ecuadorian (southamerica). My mother is 1th generation English descend holding a British passport. Both my grandparents were brits. But I’m not entitle to have ancestry passport due to I wasn’t born in the commonwealth, it only pass nationality to first generation. Or at least that’s what been told in the NDI were I called several times. Although they always changed the history, they told me I could apply to see what happens mmm… well is quite expensive and for been not sure doesn’t make any sense. Does my ancestry will help me to get an working permit here in Poland? Or any other eu country. (This cia. Have offices in germany, Ireland, spain ,uk). The place where I’m studying. I’ve been working on the paper with my former employer (in Poland). My student status allow me to work up to 3 months after I finish classes. But is so tedious and complicated. Now my visa will expired and I have to leave Poland and come back after 5 months if the permit will be issue. And according to emigration office most of application are declined up to 60% the first time applied, it seems u have to apply at least twice.
Any advice please! regarding working permits in the eu, for an person with eu ancestry. does it matter, or not? thx

Your mother...interesting. How did she obtain British citizenship? Was she born in the UK, or was she born outside the UK and acquired it through her parents?

Does her family have any Irish ancestry?

She was register by birth at the Brit embassy in my country. She had adquired it by birth. She was born 2 years after WWII, if I'm not mistaken she was brith subjet by the national act of 1971 and then changed again her status to brit citenzen national by national act 1981. (correct if I'm wrong) So the thing is that by law 1971 i think i qualify, but because they make small changes 1981 law and do not fullfill been born in the commonweath or protectore territories. Really this is cumbersome, everytime i called NDI they tell me something different.

I can't asssure for 100% if they have irish ancestry... i think not.
