Sean2606 I received reply within 2,3 hours and i would suggest, you should wait till your 8 weeks get over then ask for the update escalation is not a solution as i called them and asked about escalation they said if you dont get your status update within 12 weeks then you can escalate your application. I think its to early to ask about update on your application.sean2606 wrote:@ Shreen should I escalate it today? as its almost the start of the BH weekend and i dont suppose anyone will look into it until next week or should I leave it till Tuesday?
@ daddoo110 Its going to be 8 weeks for me on Monday anyway, since its a BH weekend I thought i'd ask for an update today. After how many weeks did you receive a reply stating 'no updates available because your application was submitted recently or the details were incorrect'?
Thanks for the reply daddoo, what i meant was after how many weeks of applying did you first ask for an update only to receive a 'no status' reply? I will leave it till next week anyway for now. What's surprised me is that on the 02/03/15 it wasn't yet assessed by an ECO and today after 7 weeks there is no update.daddoo110 wrote:Sean2606 I received reply within 2,3 hours and i would suggest, you should wait till your 8 weeks get over then ask for the update escalation is not a solution as i called them and asked about escalation they said if you dont get your status update within 12 weeks then you can escalate your application. Sean2606 I asked them for the first time after 6 weeks and reply was stating no current updates available because your application was submitted recently or the details were incorrect' but as u said that before you received different mail its really surprising. Why dont you call them and ask about it?sean2606 wrote:Thanks for the reply daddoo, what i meant was after how many weeks of applying did you first ask for an update only to receive a 'no status' reply? Would be different if the status was as previous 'not been assessed yet' but 'no current updates available because your application was submitted recently or the details were incorrect' seems a bit worrying if you know what i mean.

I get why you would be worried.. Honestly I have a hard time trusting their replies. If I were you I would call them next week Tuesday or Wednesday. That way you can ask them directly for clarification. As if they're not already taking forever with Karachi applications ...sean2606 wrote:@ daddoo110 that's whats worrying me. Think the call center is only opened between 0800 - 1600 Pakistan time. It could just be that someone at the helpdesk (the people who reply back with a status) couldn't be bothered enough to have a proper look.
congrats Musa. Which city did you apply from?Musa wrote:Hello All.

He applied from Islamabad.
Many congratulations Musa. You are one of the luckiest to have received it so soon.
About your query, your wife has 3 months time until she can travel to UK. And for the 33 months of the visa she should not stay outside UK for more than 270 days in total so when she applies for ILR she does not face problems. For more details and confirmations visit gov.uk website.

Salaam shareen hope you are well , whats the latest with your application. XxShreen wrote:Its our second app aswell i knw exactly hw u feel x will keep u updated xSHAHFAISAL wrote:To shreen
Yes i sent an email on saturday thats just gone past and got a reply next day sunday. Seems a bit strange to be getting a reply on the weekend.
I did not ask for escaltion just enquired about the status of the application. Reply i received just stated that the application has been processed and decision has been made. The VAC will notify us in due course. Who knows when that will be. Yeh i was thinking to hold on till the holiday weekend is over then send hubby to the VAC and ask whats happening. Keep us updated if you hear anything. This is our second application so i am more nervous.
Duas for all.

Brother there is no such link and as yu experienced there is no mention about travelling time upon receipt of visa, it is upto you to decide. Your spouse have to complete 30 months continuous stay (within this you are allowed to have holidays outside country) in uk to be eligible for next visa extension.Musa wrote:Hello All and vervous1.
Can any one please share home office link that how many days my wife can spend in Pakistan before she travel to UK? and how many days she will be able to spend out side UK each year? I searched their website but cant find this information.

Majority of people travel within the first month of issuance of visa.
