Applying FLR NHS charges

Post by zzzindagi » Mon Apr 06, 2015 10:06 pm

CR001 wrote:Yes, the new surcharge applies to all visa and extensions wef from today. The surcharge will be payable at the point of applying and will be for the duration of the extension. So a 2.5 year extension, the surcharge will be £500 over and above the ext fees.

This will not apply though when she applies for ILR in a couple of years, it is only for entry clearance and extensions.
My wife is on Tier 1 General Dependent visa and I am on ILR 10 years basis.
I am applying my wife visa next month in FLRM category. She is already here since last 2 years. Does this rule apply to her as well?

Also can you please tell me the procedure how to pay the NHS cost.

Yes, she will have to pay £200 per year (£500 for 2.5 years) and pay again when she extends on flr m after 2.5 years.

Without pre-payment of the NHS surcharge the FLR(O) application won't be accepted.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
