Acknowledgement of receipt

Post by Edelweiss » Mon Nov 22, 2004 9:37 am

Hi everyone

I am new to this board as a contributor, but have been reading posts for quite a while. Thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge and experiences. :)

I sent in my application in October and the payment was taken off my credit card on 2 Nov. I waited a week and then sent an email with my details and a request for a reference number. I heard nothing and resent the message last week. I have still heard nothing. Can anyone shed light on this. It seems that they may not even have opened the email as I have not received a read-receipt either. Could there be a problem with their email server?

If you are talking about 'hsmp.workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk', then I have sent them 2 e-mails, first e-mail on 5th of November, with the same result (no replay).

I emailed on this one and got it with in few hours but it was 5 months back. Hope it would be helpful.

I found in my mailbox that on 12 of November when I wrote the second e-mail I sent it both to 'hsmp.workpermits@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk' and 'hsmp.workpermits@wpuk.gov.uk'.

they take some 3 weeks to reply to emails at times. but they do eventually reply. so i wouldnt bother them with repeated emails, it will only serve to frustrate them
