Oracle Applications Job

Hi All ,
I am a Oracle Applications Techno Functional Consultant with around 5 Years of experience , i am in the process of applying for EC ,before that wanted to know the Job market in UK for oracle Apps . And how to go about looking for Job while being in India .

Any suggestion would be appreciated .

Hi Prasad,

I have a similar profile as yours. I am a functional consultant in Oracle Financials and have 5+ years experience in it. I am currently in Singapore. Though I got a few calls from consultants, they want me to be in UK before they process my CV. I already have UK visa.

Looking at the experience of other HSMP visa holders who are already in UK, I am rethinking whether to really leave my job and go to UK to find one. The whole picture looks so uncertain. Ever since I started working in Oracle Apps, I used to get continuous calls for Job interviews and I hardly failed any interview. But the scenario in UK seems very different. It seems they have enough local candidates, so its becoming more and more difficult to get a decent job there. Anyway, I am still exploring

Same here...I am Oracle Applications Techno-Functional consultant. I am looking for contract in UK. Even though I live beside UK (Ireland) I havn't heard much from consultants for last 2 months. Either market is really dull or consultants are not willing to entertain outsiders. I would appreciate otrher HSMP'ians who are already working in UK to post job openings if they are aware of any.
