Accomodation in U.K ???

Hi All,

Can neone help me out with the cheapest accomodation in Central London or around london ?
I have been searching lot of sites but was unable to find one.
Im looking for a room 40-50 pounds Per week, including all taxes.
Any suggestions will be of gr8 help.

That's not the easiest to do, considering you want central london and anything in that range will be very close to a pig stye or a scam so be very weary.
For bargains go to
gumtree.com and expatriates.com
also there are bed and breakfast that if you commit for a 3 month or more period that will be just outside the range but might be worth it for your piece of mind.
If you are here for the long term, you need to ante up.

Try gumtree.com...They offer cheap/shared rooms/house...

as you will hotels/B&B very costly..also you cannot cook in Hotel ,so eating out cost will be increased

It costs more for most rooms up north, never mind London.

I think you will be lucky, or cold and damp with horrible housemates. You could also try Timeout but the cheapest on there is £55.

I just had a look on gumtree & someone wants to charge £50 a week for living in a garden shed in Wembley!

There is a also couch on offer for £25 a week, complete with tatty quilt They are not ashamed that it doesn't even have a cover, just look at the picture they have posted.

I have been asleep dreaming nice dreams, and have now woken up to a world gone mad.

£40 to £50 a week?? You'll be lucky to pay that per NIGHT. Even a bed in a youth hostel's more than £50 a week.

I was staying in a room in a shared house for 120 GBP per Week..it was in ashford..

Accomodation is very costly..

To get that price you will have to rent a dirty small room in a house share in a dreadful area a long way from the Underground, possibly in a crack den.

For a small single room in a reasonable area you should budget on £80-£90 per week or more. For a room big enough for a double bed it will be around £110 per week upwards.

Sharing a room would be the cheapest and easiest way. But for London, you won't find any descent places for less than 90 - 100 pounds a week.

Depending on the kind of job you are looking, the kind of industry, etc. you could try to relocate to a less expensive city in the UK.

Go to one of the job sites and find any other cities like Manchester, Birmingham, etc. that could require your skills. Do a cost / benefit analysis of the options.
