Confused

Post by east579new » Tue Apr 14, 2015 9:27 am

My partner was granted 30 months using flr(fp) as parent and partner once this visa runs out then what should be applied for next i thought ILR but now im not so sure? or an extension of the Limited leave to remain? she has done the 1 English test and is now studying for the life in the uk test.

Me- British
Child - British
Partner - Brazilian

If its the case that its just another 30 months after this visa expires then are we bothering with these English exams and test to early?

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

She will need to aoply for 3 more sets of FLR (FP) to get the 10 years residence needed for ILR.

However, if you are earning up to 18600, she could switch to 5 years route now, and speed up her ILR . With the surcharge and every thing else, i believe this will prove quicker and cheaper in the long run.
