Got Email......they requested additional docs...

Post by try-one » Wed Nov 17, 2004 11:24 am

I'm quite happy, they requested additional docs, my original app was sent in august, withdrawn, resent nov 1st...they said I should send docs before 8 dec so they can decide.
I have no idea what happened and why the speed up the check....I was waiting for a job offer but the HO beat me to it...
I have to prove that I have been living with my wife for 2 years...that can be done....I remember burning a lot of docs before I l eft my country.
and I need to show the income, that one I need to send payslips and P60 they said...

Will keep you posted.

Thats excellent news try-one. Now its only a matter of time before your application will be processed and approved :)

I thought you withdrew your application the first time so that you could send more documentation etc the next time around. Did you not send adequate income proof?

You are the fourth in-country applicant from this forum whose application is being processed out of turn. I wonder if there is a change in policy for processing incountry applications.

Good luck!

My income proof is a long story, last year part of the money was paid abroad.....so I withdrew to prepare the docs, My plan was wait for the documents to come from my home country and then send them to the HO while the application was waiting....
I expected this to be a long process, but luck is a strange thing, first my company tells me they are going to liquidate so my WP is at risk, now HO tells me the application is beign considered....
I just found the docs to prove I lived with my wife, now I need to wait for the Payslips...

I can identify with the situation of the WP being at risk and HO unexpectedly processing the application.

Keep us updated

it seem that they could still be handpicking incountry applciations to process. i wonder if there many in country applicants from before August who are still waiting for responses. anyway try-one all the best with the documents it wont be long now for you

well they wont always ask for additional information. however the other reason is that they are still only looking at May applications and yours was i guess in august, it could be another 3-4 months b4 they get to it

Thank you, yes i applied in August and scored 90. Yesterday my friend phoned me that homeoffice informed her for further documents, and gave deadline of 28 days. she applied in September. So does it mean I am safe now.

It only means that the home office is processing the application of your friend and requires more information. They ask the applicant to respond within 28 days in that case.

When your case is being processed by the home office, they will review your documents and ask for clarifications if it is necessary. I dont know why your september friend's application was being processed ahead of you but that has happened before in the past when the home office has processed some applications ahead of turn.

Well you are only 'safe' after you have recieved an approval letter. dont read too much into them asking or not asking for further information, it can be a good thing or bad thing. i mean they can refuse your application without asking for any further information, if they are satisfied that with the information provided you wouldnt have met the conditions. about your friend, yes it is a big mystery to most of us as to what 'formula' they are using to chose applications to look at. there are a number of pple on this forum who have 'unexpectedly' received communication from the HSMP team like 2-3 months b4 it was due, and if you consider the fact that it is probably a minority of applicants who are actually on this forum, they could be many more people out there whose cases have already been decided several months b4 they were due
