(HSMP) Time taken for EC ? how to know the current status?

Hi guys,

I have got HSMP approval on sep 6th.
I have applied for an EC on 19th sep. It has been 2 weeks since then.
But the status still remains the same
"Application has been forwarded to british high commission"

I get this sms , whenever i send my passport number to 57333
Even if i call up vfs , i get the same reply.

There has been no update in the status from two weeks at all.
I have had friends who had got their ECs done within a week or just over a week .

Can anyone let me know is there any specific website, or a phone number which can give me a more specific info like whats going on with my application ?

I also applied on 19th Sept. at Mumbai VFS. When I checked through SMS,still it shows application frd to BHC. From which VFS office have you applied?.
