3 SP30's and IN10, AN form?

Post by leo_sangha » Tue Apr 28, 2015 1:43 pm

Hello All

Back in 2009 i got 3 speeding tickets in quick succession i.e. SP30's, and in 2011 i got IN10 i.e. driving without insurance. So all together 15 points on my license. Now all the endorsements have expired and my replacement paper counterpart does not show any endorsements, as i applied to remove all the expired endorsements. Also, I checked online on DVLA website and that also shows no points on my license. SP30's expire in 3 years and IN10 in 4 years.

Question:

Do i need to mention the expired endorsements on the AN form? Please advise as I have NCS booking on 30th April.

Page 9 says:
3.6 – 3.7 You must give details of all criminal convictions both within and outside the United Kingdom. These include road traffic offences. Fixed penalty notices (such as speeding or parking tickets) must be disclosed, although will not normally be taken into account unless:

• you have failed to pay and there were criminal proceedings as a result; or

• you have received numerous fixed penalty notices.

Drink driving offences must be declared. If you have any endorsements on your driving licence you must provide the paper counterpart.
Please note that a driving conviction may not yet be disregarded despite any penalty points being removed from your driving licence.
But we have an example of approval for a member with 6 points on their licence at time of application. So declaration doesn't necessarily mean rejection. I'd book NCS and see what they say. Good luck.
Being British is a state of mind.
