Visa type : Settlement
Location : Chennai.
Date of application : 03/03/2015
ECO requesting document : 15/04/2015

The document requested was my NARIC statement of compariability which i have sent them .

Any idea if this would be a positive outcome because they asked me only for one document.

We are unable to proceed with your application under the Settlement category at this time as we require further evidence which demonstrates you meet all the requirements.

In order to proceed with your application we require the following document(s) within the next 10 calendar days

(1) UK NARIC letter confirming xxxxx
If we do not receive the documents by the date noted above a decision will be made on your application.

Hi kirshanpks25

what exactly do you mean by UK NARIC letter confirming xxxxx ?
you did say you already sent the statement of Compatibility right?

did you submit the English Language Assessment alongwith the application as well ?

Hi,

The ECO requested the NARIC statement of comparability after submitting my wife's MBA degree.
So i have sent it to them and it has been received in chennai.

They just requested one document. So i'm hoping for a positive outcome as they don't have any issues with the rest or they would have directly rejected the visa.

Please if you could give your view will be great.

I received this mail this morning.

Thank you for your email. Please note that your documents have been received and linked to your application. The application has been forwarded for further review.

Does this mean that the ECO already saw the application before requesting the document or is he going to review it now.

I'm really afraid for the outcome as my whole life depends on my wife being here.

Appreciate any comments.

Thanks,
krishna

Spouse Visa applied: 23-2-2015
VFS Location: Bangalore
April 8th: received email from Chennai BHC that the application is not straightforward....
April 9th: Received email from Chennai BHC to provide 2 additional Documents
April 15th: Document courier received by embassy
April 20th: BHC confirmed that the documents are received and linked to my application and sent to the ECO for further review
April 29th; Still waiting for an update, called the helpline number and they informed that the application is not updated from April 8th and the status is "delayed due to further enquiries"

Anyone else in same situation? Seems like ECO has not yet picked up my file after providing additional documents. Any idea what happens behind the scenes and how they decide to pick up the file.

Hello shueyv ,

I am in the same situation. But they just told to submit one additional document , they did not mention anything about the application not being straight forward.

They have said in a document that only if the ECO feels that having the additional document will not make the application a refusal , they are then allowed to ask you for it.

I am still waiting for the application to be dispatched .
I too have applied in chennai so we are in the same situation .
Can you provide me your email id so i can send you the ECO document from the uk govt site.

Hi krishnakps25,

I have seen that document:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... pplication.

It is now 2 weeks that the additional document is received by the Chennai BHC, so not sure how much time they will take now.
When contacted by email service, they replied that the application is in progress.
When we called the person informed that the application is not updated from April 8th and status is delayed for further enquiries. That was right when they asked for additional documents.

So waiting for the decision, i hope it is quick and positive.

Hi Krishnapks25

Congratulations on your application.

Did vfs send you the email or was it from Ukvi?

Thanks for the update.

I know how you feel. Unless we see Visa stamped, the mind remains in anxiety.
I am pretty sure your Visa will be stamped based on ECO asking for additional Document. Best of Luck. Do inform once you get your Passport.

Cheers.

Morning everyone

My husband went to the vfs office in JAL this morning and got his visa!! :D

Any questions pls ask!

A few points to note...

We had a 'decision made' email on Friday. In this email we were given a reference number. The reference number quoted in this email also appears on my husbands visa. Prior to this I had emailed vfs to ask for an update. I received a reply which differed to my previous emails for an application update- in the final one it didn't state I shouldn't 'make any travel & accommodation' arrangements. In this email it didn't have this disclaimer.

If anyone else have any questions please ask I will try my best to help, as I know how anxious it can be waiting for a decision to be made. It took 27 working days to process the whole application.

A little back ground to our personal circumstances. My husband has visited and worked in the UK for the past 8 years and has travelled abroad frequently; therefore has a good travel history. I fulfilled the sponsor requirements by earning above the £18,600 threshold per year, and I also own my own property.

I filled all the application out myself and put together a bundle whilst I was in India...as long as you are comfortable doing this the guidelines and advise on forums like this one are very helpful!

Good luck guys...I can enjoy the rest on the beautiful weather this bank holiday 8)

Hi,

No :( , the status is still the same as checked using email service:

" a decision on your application has been delayed whilst further enquiries are being conducted"

Not sure what exactly further enquiries mean, may be checking with bank etc. No idea.

It is around 51 working days now.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we may not be able to make a decision on your application within our customer service targets. We will continue to progress your application and make a decision as soon as possible.

My wife got this email after applying at back home...could any one tell me anybody else got the same email

My wife applied for a tier 4 dependent visa from home country ..
Thank you

Spouse Visa applied: 10 April 2015
VFS Location: New Delhi
No information received from VFS for three weeks
we sent emails twice regarding status update and were told still not processed by ECO
May13: Received notification passport ready to collect
May 14 : Stamped from 12 May 2015

Application was classified as very low risk probably that s why was bit quick.

Hello.

My wife collected her passport today and the she was granted visa for 33 months.

Date of application: 12 March 2015
Location : VFS Delhi
Docs requested : 31 March 2015 and 22 April 2015
Interview date: 12 May 2015
Visa issued : 14 May 2015
Email from VFS : 19 May 2015
Email from BHC : 20 May 2015
Passport collected from VFS DELHI : 20 May 2015

I'm glad we got the visa, the process took nearly 44 working days as suggested by vfs staff when we applied.

We did not have to pay the NHS Surcharge since it started from 6 April 2015.

I would advise everyone to be patient and provide all the information you get asked for by the ECO. Thanks.
