Dependent of ILR Visa Holder

Post by MKUPPA » Tue May 05, 2015 11:35 am

Hi all

Any of your help is much appreciated in Advance, Thanks for your help

I am on ILR since past 3 years, recently got married and planning to bring my wife.
Earlier I was working, but currently since past 1 year I am out of work due to some personal issues.

In this scenario I have gone through section 7 of the Financial Requirement document

"Appendix_FM_Annex_1_7_Financial_Requirement"

which explains the required documents

scenario :

my wife can be eligible to get a visa under cash savings:

I have some savings myself and remaining my Wife's sister is ready to help.
My wife's sister works in US and can lend her savings to my wife's account
and ready to provide any documents from her side like eg: affidavit of support or bank statements etc

I was wondering whether this is a feasible way to do it.

Many Thanks

You would need to have savings of £62,500 and this must be held in an account for 6 months minimum.

Third party support is not permitted for spouse visas. The applicant and their spouse needs to meet the requirements themselves.

What level of savings do you have?

Do you receive any benefits?

Hi CR001,

Thanks for responding

I have about 30K savings in India, and I am not claiming any benefits.

If I claim benefits will I be able to apply for visa for my wife.

Thank You

Only certain benefits exempt you from meeting the financial requirements and in the absence of any information, I have provided what is required to meet the financial requirement.
