Hi

I am a New Zealander currently living Hong Kong (and yes we are mortified about the rugby!).

This will be my second application, I was rejected the first time (for my own stupid fault) my New Zealand payslips were not signed and I was trusting other people to double check all the supporting documents and send them off on my behalf from NZ. In the rejection letter they suggested I should have a letter from my employer as well.

This time I have got:
signed payslips on company letterhead
a tax return for the last financial year (sent last time)
a letter from the New Zealand Inland Revenue stating my earnings since the that were post the last tax return (as they will not issue a new tax return until April 08) (sent last time)
a letter from my New Zealand employer stating my earnings for the period claimed

I have also recieved a second letter from the NZ IRD, stating my earning for the period claimed.

My issue is the last letter from the NZ IRD has my earnings for the period being about $6.30 different from the employers letter (and my payslips).

I have seen the data my employer sent to the IRD, which was accurate so the difference is an issue with the records kept by the NZ IRD.

My question is should I send the latest letter with my application or is this likely to confuse a case worker and lead to a rejection?

six dollars clearly indicates a mere rounding off difference , i think your supportings sound adequate . You could add a note in your earnings points cover sheet / worksheet about the rounding off difference
