Children born abroad

Post by Korsah4 » Sat May 09, 2015 4:52 pm

Hello, My two kids were born abroad and recently I brought them in the country. The visa that was given to them will expire by the end of the year. I have permanent resident card via EEC as my mom is French. What category of visa can I apply for my children to renew their visa please? Thank you in advance

Regards,
Kofi

What type of visa did they apply for? Did their visas have any observations written, such as ILE?

It appear the kids probably entered with an EEA family permit as a family member of their Grand mother.

In those circumstances, a Residence Card may be the appropriate next step.

What's the status of the kids' other parent?

The other parent has an accompany spouse visa. Their application were made on different times and I personally went for my kids.

Presumably, their visas were issued in-line with your spouse. They should also extend together, in-line with your spouse.
