British citizenship for illegal entry

My wife entered the uk illegally in 2007.
We married legally in a uk church. We have a 6year old child and a cat.
She has close ties with my family here. Our child goes to school nearby, and my wife takes her there in the morning and is part of the PTFA and helps out a lot at the school.
She has her name registered on the council tax, tenency agreement for house rent, utility bills, and on a credit card.
Her passport has run out.
What would be the best way, and quickest way to get her British Citizenship, so she can live and work here?

Would be 5 years to ILR I reckon if no hiccups or UKVI shenanigans (which there will be) and then 10 more years to wait for for citizenship due to illegal entry.

Wait for others though, but irrespective a guess the answer is 'a long time'...

In the present circumstances there is no way that your wife qualifies for British Citizenship. She first needs to legalise her residence here. She may be able to apply to remain in the UK by submitting an FLR(FP) application but it would be wise to seek legal advise.
Also note, that even if and when your wife is granted a visa to remain in the UK the Government's Immigration and Security Minister James Brokenshire has said: “Our revised policy on good character makes it clear that entering the UK illegally or evading immigration control will usually mean that a person is prevented from acquiring citizenship for a period of 10 years.”
