This is unacceptable. Apart from the fact that I will not advise OP to contact you directly , you are breaching forum rules by advertising yourself please desist from doing this.

Hi Obie,
This is partly my fault i guess as the original question requires kind of answer which may not be acceptable.

Please accept my apology and you can close this thread.

In addition, when you have a moment please review http://www.immigrationboards.com/irelan ... 86511.html this post.

People can advise in private or offer to help in private forum, but doing it in open forum breach forum rules.

Some of us moderators practice law, but it will be wholly inappropriate for us to abuse our privilege as moderators or member, to advertise on the forum.

OK Obie. My advice to this person is to look around, get quotes and consider a consultant as well as an immigration solicitor as everybody on this forum would agree that an immigration solicitor would charge approximately 500 euro for a straight forward application. An immigration solicitor is required for more complex cases involving Judicial Review etc An immigration consultant would most likely charge less and be of great assistance for getting the documentation and forms correct which is the difficult part of immigration applications.

Your intention may be well and good and I don't dispute that for a minute.

How you were seeking to execute you good intention is not permissible under forum rules.

No one is above the rules.

I could do it, but I will not , as I am bound by the rules also.

People in UK and Irish forum ask for my details on line , but I never give it publicly as it is against forum rules.

Moderators are here to ensure the rules are adhered to and the forum runs smoothly .

@bstar et al, pls would you give me a suggestion on this; after waiting for 18 months on a decision and then your application is refused based on a wrong assertion that you breached immigration rules by overstaying a 90 day visit visa some 8years back when you first visited the state... Stating that you may reapply anytime but giving due regards to the reason for refusal. Since this decision was wrongly made based on an errornious assumption by the INIS officer who handled your case, what can one do about this?? The truth is I have never overstayed any of my visit visas on my numerous visits to the state until I acquired my residency, so I don't know where they got such facts from to have made such a stupid and faulty allegation against me. Your advices/suggestions will be highly appreciated mates in here. Thanks all!

Application is based on Association to Irish citizens. Thanks. I've also lived here for 5 years permanently and a single parent father caring for my children and self employed too.

ok, so you are married or de facto with an irish citizen? In that case there is no review system. You could write a letter explaining that they made an error and if they did, they usually would admit the error and rectifiy it.
If they do not rectifiy it and you still believe they made an error, the other option is to apply again. At least you will have all the paperworl ready.

Thanks for your time and prompt response. If I reapply, does it mean that my application would go through the very long process again or is it going to be fast tracked since the error was from them initially?

I would be prepared for the long process as it is unlikely that it would be fast-tracked. However, i would not rule it completely out. My advice would be firstly to write and explain their error and request a reply within 10 working days. If this proves unsuccessful, then you should apply again

You guys are hijacking this forum and that is not allowed.

This thread was meant for Mbeard's enquiry, but you are now using it for something else.

The topic is wholly different.
