MOTIBALI,
They have looked at your application and gone to do some enquiries. It could be they gone to your bank, employer, NADRA for nikkah nama confirmation or possibly to your landlord/ property provider etc.

It shouldnt be lond after 12 weeks have gone past you can esclate.

The way I understand "every case is different" is, that applies when someone has looked at your case. For example if a caseworker has opened your case then it may be delayed or processed quickly depending on how complicated the case is. However, that cant apply to cases which are still to be seen by a case worker!
My question they said 45% decided within 30 working day so I am yet to hear from someone who applied in March and got an answer!!!
In my wife's case it is still to be seen by ECO so when a case worker looks at it then it will depend on how complicated the case is not now because it is probably sitting somewhere gathering dust!!!
Thats just to clarify things.

Anyway Ramadan is coming soon as well and I just pray we get an answer beforehand!

Muti Bali,

Yes you can but it all depends on what they have quiried if that makes sense.

AB112

I have applied on 9th March and got my docs back on 14th April. Visa was refused only because we did not attach our chat history. Re applied again end week of April so yeah you are right they look at each case individually. On other forum there are people who had received visa with in 4 weeks. So Embassy is doing lot better than what they were back in DEC/ JAN/ Feb. Lets pray and hope for the best in sha Allah we will all be granted the VISA's very soon.

Basically I'm waiting on UKVI to get back to me regarding my wifes visa application. It's going to have been 10 weeks this Thursday since submitted biometric at Mirpur.

After contacting them, I received an email from them today saying "'Pre assessment completed - Under process for further enquiries – checks'". What does this actually mean? Any how long before i should expect an answer?

Any information would be grateful.

Thanks
Hi,

Can you please confirm the email address you got this response from?

The 45% in March decisions is not for March applicants! They are cases that were processed in March 2015 could be applicants from January/Febuary etc.
June 30th 2014 - Applied for spouse visa (Pakistan)
August 11th 2014 - daughters Right of Abode applied
August 18th 2014 - Right of Abode successful
December 2nd 2014 - Spouse visa refused

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question, my bro in law applied for spouse visa via mirpur back in Feb 2015.

Yesterday he got and email stating as below :

"This is an email to confirm that your UK visa application has been processed and will now be returned to the Visa Application Centre for collection.

You will be contacted when your passport and documents are ready for collection. Please do not go to the Visa Application Centre before you have been advised to do so and you are also reminded to avoid making travel plans until you have collected your passport."

Does any one know, how long it takes after this for you to be able to collect passport, the wait is killing my sis and bro in law lol!

Just do dua that its a positive result, the case is straight forward, but you never know sometimes!
Submitted on 10/05/2011
Visa application is under process at British High Commission 18/05/2011
No interviews or Employer calls or emails
Ready for collection on 22/07/11

ILR granted 19/9/2013
Awaiting BRP!

Result?????

Technically, still a February application. From another forum, I have been told its from the date you submitted online application form, thus she is still a Feb candidate in that sense.

but mashAllah - she received it fairly quickly. Alhamdulilah.

I have just confirmed by looking at the email I have received from ukvi
It states that 12 weeks from date of Biometrics

We have service level standards for processing UK visa applications. We
will process 90% of non-settlement applications within 3 weeks, 98% within
6 weeks and 100% within 12 weeks of the application (biometric taken) date;
and 95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the biometric taken
date and 100% within 24 weeks of the application (biometric taken) date.
Please note that we define 1 week as 5 working days.

Escalation means that you request that the case is escalated due to the time given by ukvi has lapsed I.e 12 weeks have passed since application lodged at VFC.

Ok. But how can someone make escalation request on 6th May if he/she has submitted documents on 2nd March? Usually 3 month time-scale is given by UK embassy.

That's what I said on my previous post ...
You have to work it out so let's say 2nd March that would mean 12 weeks is approx week 28th may ... not had time to look at what days were bank holidays so I can just give a rough idea looking at my diary
As you have said 6th may this is more of a status update request and they wouldn't usually escalate unless time has lapsed

Congratulations, I'm happy for you and all those who got their visas.

Can I ask you how you escalate your case? Especially since it wasn't three months since you applied?

There is no clue in email to say if it was declined or granted. You need to collect your document to see the outcome, VAC normally ring you or txt you if you paid for txt service which is 200 rupees as to when your docs are ready for collection.

Ok no problem. Did they phone and ask questions etc or not? I.e spouse address, income etc...? Or did they just phone and small u to tell u it's done and to collect documents?

They act more like couriers, they have no say in visa process at all. Don't ask nothing
