Applying for ILR - Tier 2 Dep

Post by Maverick_Iceangel700 » Thu May 21, 2015 4:05 pm

MY wife and I got married in Feb 08th 2013. She came as a Tier 2 dependant as I was on a Tier 2 work permit at that point.

I obtained my PR/ILR in August 2013, my wife continued to stay on the Tier 2 dependant Visa and we also went to India and came back with no issues with her continuing to be on the Tier 2 dependant Visa. But now her Visa will run out in March 2016. Can she apply for PR or will she have to apply for a dependant Visa again. Our son who was born in November got a British passport straight off as I was a PR/ILR.
Please can someone kindly advice.

She will only qualify for ILR after 5 years residence in 2018.

She can extend as PBS Dependent in 2016 before her visa expires.

She can also do the LIUK test now if she wishes to as it does not expire.
