Advise on child registration

My daughter was born in the UK, whilst my wife and I where on a AV.

Dec we will apply for ILR and now once this is done we can apply for registration of our daughter at a cost of £400.

Question is can we wait one year and apply for naturlisation as a family unit and in so doing save £400 ??

You can certainly wait one year, but it will not save you a penny. The £400 would still be payable .... or rather whatever is the fee at the time. Suggest you apply as soon as you can, before the fee goes even higher.

As John says you have to pay the child registration fee anyway.

The only way you would make a saving is if you have other non-U.K. born children - then if you waited until naturalisation, all the children could be included for a single GBP400 fee.

In other words I'm in for a couple of big hits Dec £950 for ILR +£400 for child registration and a year later what ever the fee is for Nat currently £650

I suppose it is the same with ILR, one fee for the whole family ...??
If he is the main applicant, can't he just include his wife and daughter on the application for Citizenship...or they all have to apply seperately and pay the same fee ...3 times....??... that will be UNFAIR on the path of HO and I suppose they can do what they like???.

I am in a similar situation...have got ILR but decided to suspend everything until I qualify for Citizenship and we can all apply together....am I wrong in thinking I will pay just one fee for myself, wife and our child.....this assumption could be expensive...!!!!!!

Can someone clarify and give relevant URL if possible?

I think you need to check details of the fees a little more carefully. Who is saying that you "pay the same fee ...3 times"?
