Hi
My mum lives in Guyana. I am now a bristish citizen as my wife is British citizen. We have a beautiful daughter who is now 6 months and my mum wanted to visit, my wife doenst want to go Guyana because she is worried that the baby will get mosquito bites and there is a high chance of babies getting the Chikungunya Virus - We both have good jobs and savings and our own house.
I submitted the family visa and it got refused because :
"your bank statement does not demonstrate your monthly income that you stated on the application - I am therefore not satisfied as to your ongoing social and economic circumstances in Guyana and subsequently of your intentions in requesting entry clearance to the UK for a limited time stated by you - therefore not stratified that you met the requirements of paragraph 4.2 (a) appendix V"
SO in the application I mistakenly stated that she earned £1456.00 a month - i thought the application asked what her total savings were…… so her bank statement showed this amount of total savings. The thing is she is unemployed and me and my sister send her money on regular basis via western union
My question is - Should I resubmit her visa for visit again with the corrected info, saying she gets 0.00 per month as she is unemployed and that me and my sister send money to her via western union throughout the year, its not on a monthly interval.
Is it worth me just trying to go via settlement visa instead…but she is under 65 years of age…i think i read that you have to be 65 or over to be considered for settlement….the thing we only want her to visit and not live with us forever….
