Hi,
My wife is applying for a spouse visa in the UK. I am acting as the sponsor and am a UK citizen. She has already been here on a Tier 2 work visa for over 2 years.
I'm confident we should meet all of the financial, accomodation and relationship requirements.
However the concern I have is that one of the reasons we are applying for a new visa (instead of her continuing on her Tier 2 work visa) is so that she can join me on a career break abroad. Currently she needs to be in continuos employment with her sponsoring company for her visa to be valid. We would plan on departing a month or so after the visa is issued. We would return to the UK after 8 months with the intention of staying permenantly. I would work in the same job as I had before the career break and will have a letter from my employer to verify this and the start date. Could this be grounds for refusal?
Any advice / experiences you can offer me would me much appreciated.
George
